Bangladesh’s political landscape may once again be shifting towards a China-reliant diplomatic equation through the BNP. Reports suggest that a delegation of ten members from the BNP Standing Committee, led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, is set to visit China soon. Officially framed as a trip for “economic and political cooperation,” the visit appears to conceal deeper conspiracies.
Under the shadow of the interim Yunus-led government, a China-dependent import policy has already handed over significant control of Bangladesh’s market to Chinese interests. Analysts believe that BNP is now being used to further expand Chinese influence in the political domain as well.
The key agendas of this BNP visit include:
✅ Securing financial support from China for election-related planning
✅ Restructuring national import policies to align with Chinese interests, protecting multinational lobbying agendas
✅ Fostering an anti-India bias in Bangladesh’s foreign policy stance
Experts argue that this is more than a matter of diplomatic courtesy; it is a calculated move within a broader international conspiracy. The BNP is allegedly seeking to use Chinese funding to cover electoral expenses and pave the way to power—not through the people’s mandate, but by winning the greenlight from foreign powers.
Running domestic politics under foreign patronage is a national security threat. China’s geopolitical influence and expansionism are already subjects of global controversy. If BNP designs its election roadmap based on dependency on such a power, Bangladesh’s sovereignty and independent political future will be in grave jeopardy.
Today, the nation faces one critical question:
Does BNP want democracy for Bangladesh—or a corporate regime approved by China?
The people must have the answer—and they must have it now.
