An Attempt Is Underway to Secure Dr. Yunus’s Position as UN Secretary-General in Exchange for a Part of the Country

In the current geopolitical context, Bangladesh is facing an intensifying crisis concerning its sovereignty and national security. Public anxiety and protests are mounting, particularly over the potential establishment of a U.S. military base in Cox’s Bazar and the issue of the Myanmar corridor. If these two projects are implemented, Bangladesh will not only face severe strategic risks, but may also have to permanently forfeit a significant portion of its independence and territorial integrity. This raises the question: is there a personal ambition of a powerful individual or group behind all this?

It is being said that Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus is now focused on fulfilling the final political ambition of his life — becoming the Secretary-General of the United Nations. To boost his international acceptability and win American support, he is allegedly moving toward a form of understanding that involves trading Bangladesh’s crucial territory and strategic interests. If this is true, it undoubtedly amounts to a treasonous tendency.

The government claims that everything is being done in the “national interest.” Yet the reality appears otherwise. The signals suggest that American interests are being prioritized, secret deals are being made, and the process is moving forward while ignoring the opinions of the local population — all of which makes it clear that the government is either under pressure or trapped in a compromise.

If a U.S. base is established in Cox’s Bazar and the plan to connect India and Malaysia through the Myanmar corridor is executed, Bangladesh’s strategic position will be dangerously weakened. As a result, the country would become a potential geopolitical buffer zone between China, Russia, and India. In such a scenario, Bangladesh would not only face the threat of external aggression but also a dramatic escalation in internal political instability.

Many analysts believe that at the heart of all this lies Dr. Yunus’s future on the international stage — a shameless attempt to achieve personal gain at the cost of the nation. He believes that securing U.S. support will clear his path to becoming Secretary-General, while global powers see him as a convenient tool to serve their own interests through him.

Now the nation faces a grave question: are we about to become victims of one man’s international ambition? If someone tries to pave their way to becoming Secretary-General by sacrificing national interests, ceding territory, and mortgaging foreign policy, it will not just be a personal failure — it will be a national disaster.

We must act now — become aware, ask questions, and build resistance. The people of Bangladesh will not accept that any individual or group fulfills foreign ambitions at the cost of even an inch of national land.
