No freedom of expression and press freedom exists under Yunus regime

Public threat of demolish media outlets with mob violence forced journalists lose their jobs: The cost of asking questions deemed critical to Yunus regime.

After Yunus’s cultural advisor scolded several journalists from private television channels simply because they asked questions on July August violence, senior journalists were terminated from their outlets within less than 24 hours, a manifestation of Yunus sponsored fascism.

The public vilification of these journalists by the advisor, then total silence of Yunus’s press wing and the speedy termination of these reporters ending their professional lives serve as chilling reminder of Yunus sponsored repression on the journalists to evade accountability, control flow of information at the cost of destroying freedom of expression. This brazen act of forcing media outlet authorities to terminate reporters merely for asking questions deemed uncomfortable by the regime proved Yunus’s earlier claim to uphold press freedom ring hollow.

Reinforcing the fascist cult, Yunus unleashed some so-called student associations against these professional journalists as those activists publicly threatened media outlets with violence unless the journalists are terminated.
“March to Deepto Tv, Channel I and Atn Bangla will be announced unless these journalists are terminated” how a veiled threat was appeared on a facebook page titled July Revolutionary Alliance, run by pro Yunus supporters.

Also to mount further pressure on television authorities for termination, veiled threats like siege and vandalism of television stations were issued to top officials of these channels, according to BBC Bangla service.
