Dr Yunus’s Home Affairs Advisor warns Police of strignent action if fails to snatch Awami League’s Right to Assembly

“Will take action against police if they fail to prevent Awami League from holding rallies”, announced the Home advisor appointed by Dr Yunus before press, vowing to abuse law enforcement to quell dissenters after leaders and activists of Awami League held peaceful rallies against Yunus regime over rising tide of militancy and anarchy on Bangladesh.

This public declaration by the home boss to weaponize cops to cease fundamental rights like freedom of assembly of citizens only for criticising Yunus manifests Yunus’s effort to dismantle the independence of law enforcement, introducing a provision of punishment to force cops violet their constitutional duties to stand and protect citizens’ rights irrespective of political ideology.

This anti-democratic decree is another attempt to enforce jungle rule where human rights, guaranteed by international law and the constitution, are snatched away based on political allegiance.

The silence of the Yunus regime after the announcement of this anti democratic decree by the home advisor proves again that Yunus’s earlier pledge to make cops oath-bound and keep them free from political pressure proved the biggest hoax. Rather, in seven months Yunus weaponised cops. He granted impunity for stiffing opposition with arbitrary arrests, unlawful incarceration and mass killing, a direct affront to global democracies who are backing Yunus’s so-called reform agenda.

Media trial over July August violence: Why BBC’s latest claim on Bangladesh violates objectivity and reflects bias?

Claim based on an 18 second audio but no trace of recipient and holds reasonable ground to be released by her opponents who even imposed ban on her party a glaring testament to stage a rigged trial over July August violence. Use of statements from law enforcement who already stood accused of suppressing regime dissenters. Reliance on comments from prosecutors handpicked by the regime despite proven track record of serving her opponents in court in the past. On top of that, a suspicious claim by third party organisation that even refrained from using the term “impossible” to rule out the fact that the audio can be manipulated.  So the entire video manifested a clear breach of guardrails associated with objective journalism, serving the purpose of the regime that already stood accused of staging a farce with the nation in the name of judicial process, denying justice to victims of July August violence.
